The main character is Leone (Sergio Castellitto) , a 50-year-old, rich, powerful and mysterious man who is, however, utterly alone. To the extent that he hires a company of actors to get them to play the role of the family he has never had. The play goes on stage on Christmas Eve, but what should have been the most traditional and magical celebration of the year, actually turns into a real nightmare for all those who come under fire of Leone’s extravagance and cynicism.
